Dr. Felch started his career as a math, economics, and leadership teacher at the Ambassador School of Global Leadership in Los Angeles. In 2013, Dr. Felch was named an LAUSD and Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year. Also in 2013, Dr. Felch served as an International Judge on the English Talent Television Show in China, Star of Outlook. In 2014, Dr. Felch was promoted to serve as a Math Instructional Coach for the Intensive Support and Innovation Center (ISIC) of LAUSD where he worked directly with 26 different schools to support math teachers, provide professional development, and enhance instruction in math. The following year, Dr. Felch was promoted again to become Assistant Principal at the Communication and Technology School to lead and serve youth in South Los Angeles. In 2016, Dr. Felch completed his Ed.D. at the University of Southern California. His dissertation was on “How Principals of International Studies High Schools Promote Global Competence." In 2017, Dr. Felch became the Principal of Vista Heritage, and he helped open Vista Condor in 2018. Dr. Felch is thrilled to continue to bring his vision for learning and passion for educating youth through building global competence to the city of Santa Ana and the surrounding Orange County communities.
||Ms. Leigh Anne Drake was one of the founding staff members of Vista Heritage Charter Middle School in Santa Ana in 2015. Over the past six years with Vista Charter Public Schools she has created an inclusive Special Education program that has been widely recognized as a model program by OCDE. She has overseen the increase in EL Reclassification as EL Coordinator and has a passion for serving special populations. When Vista Condor Global Academy opened in 2018, Ms. Drake was honored to step up and serve our school community as the Assistant Principal and Special Education Coordinator. Ms. Drake is Kagan trained, Way of Council trained and is a Restorative Practices Expert. She consistently contributes to a positive school climate and forms strong relationships with students and their families. Ms. Drake brings her strengths as an educator and her perspective as a parent to create an elementary school experience Santa Ana can be proud of.|
|Brian Bailey is celebrating his 23rd year as an educator. He began his teaching career in 1997 in New York City, in a truly global school—over 20 languages were spoken by the student body! This experience armed him with a passion for diversity, and an understanding of the true power of language. In 2002, he moved to Southern California, and brought with him the desire for nurturing globally competent young people, who are prepared with the knowledge and skills required to tackle our planet’s most challenging problems. Brian has been a classroom teacher, an Instructional Coach, a baseball coach, and a district level support provider. To Brian, being part of the Vista family “feels like being home.” He loves being part of the Vista family and strives daily to make Vista the premiere school in Orange County.|
